ABOUT ME
Aiming to Be the Best
I Deliver Measurable Results
I am a husband and father of two young children. In trying to balance work, family responsibilities, and children’s school and extracurricular activities, we sometimes procrastinate on doing really important things, like making sure our spouse and children are protected in the event of our incapacity or death. Even before the pandemic, I heard of too many tragic stories. Every single family wished they had an estate plan, so they could know how their loved one wanted to distribute their assets.
In fact, most parents I meet have not prepared a will or legally named a guardian for their minor children. The reasons vary, but it’s often a combination of not wanting to think about an emotionally painful subject, lacking the time and energy to get it done, and fearing that an attorney’s services will simply cost too much. Families with young children often assume they don’t have an “estate” worth planning or that their families will take care of everything if ever the need arises.
As both a father and an attorney, I understand the unique legal needs of families. I know that all parents, regardless of their net worth, need comprehensive estate planning to ensure their wishes are followed and their families are protected. And I find great personal and professional satisfaction in helping parents create estate plans that provide them with that peace of mind.
I also understand the time and financial constraints families face. We allow you to self schedule an appointment with me for free 15 minutes rather than driving in traffic to my office during your work hours. We also provide videos to explain the common questions.
Your estate plan is your life plan. More specifically, a life line for your family or business to transition after your eventual passing.
It’s everything you’ve worked for, everything you’ve built.
Whether you are married, have children, have assets to protect, own a business, or just want to make sure you are prepared for whatever life brings your way, an estate plan puts you in control.
At least, if you want to be.
Estate planning helps protect the people you care about the most by saving them from chaos, family feuds, probate court while they are dealing with your loss.
An estate plan is a legal tool designed to help you preserve your assets, carry out your wishes, and protect your family after you are gone.
The reality is that no matter whether you have a plan or not, somebody will have to make decisions about how you are cared for or how your last wishes are carried out.
The worst thing you can do is leave important decisions about your health, last wishes and assets to your loved ones.
No one wants to be put in the position to “guess” what you want. And that “guessing” is what inevitably leads to family feuds because — big surprise — family doesn’t always agree with each other.
When heirs disagree, the potential for a family riff or costly court battle becomes a very real possibility and then ultimately, the final decision is made by a judge in court.
